E-mail Alerts - Maximize Performance and Reliability With the accelerating evolution of new programs and new hardware accessories, keeping your computers' drivers up-to-date is one of the most important steps you can take to promote hardware compatibility and stability. E-mail Alerts is a unique service that automatically notifies you when updated drivers for your Gateway® systems become available. This proactive notification service is available for all customers with an active Gateway Account. Simply enter the system information for all of your Gateway computers into your account, and you'll receive daily, weekly or monthly alerts whenever new drivers are posted to the Gateway Support site. Gateway computer owners who don't have an account can sign up here. Seven Easy Steps Step 1:  Create a Gateway account. To create a Gateway account enter sign-in information:   • Username   • Password   • E-mail Address   • Customer Type   • Contact Information Use your Gateway account for shopping, newsletter subscriptions, and accessing Account Management and E-mail Alerts. Step 2:  Log in. Log in to E-mail Alerts using your new Gateway account username and password. Step 3:  Verify your notification preferences.   • Your e-mail address is captured from the Gateway account database - you can modify this at any time.   • Enter specific systems(s) by serial number. For business users that have all systems documented in the Gateway Asset Management     tool, you can select from this list or add additional systems.     Note: You are able to remove systems from the alerts list. Simply uncheck the system that will not receive updates and click "Submit."   • Select "Downloads" as type of update alerts you want to receive.   • Select the frequency that you want Gateway to check for updates to your system - monthly, weekly, daily.     Note: You will only receive an e-mail alert if there are updates applicable to your system.   • You can unsubscribe from E-mail Alerts. Step 4:  Save your settings. Click "Submit" to finalize your selections and review the final settings for E-mail Alerts. Step 5:  Review your settings.   • Review the summary page which shows all the systems for which you will receive updates.   • Verify your e-mail address where the alerts will be sent.   • Verify the frequency for the alerts.   • Edit your settings or click "Finished" if correct. Step 6:  Receive confirmation. You will receive confirmation e-mail of your E-mail Alerts settings. Step 7:  Download updates.   • When drivers are updated and your system is affected, you will receive an e-mail notifying you of the update(s).   • The e-mail alert will have links to click so you can begin downloading the update drivers.   • You will receive one alert message for each of your systems listing all of the updated drivers for that system.
