Q: How is the base of the monitor removed?

A:
  1. Turn off the computer, and then disconnect the monitor's video and power cables.

  2. Carefully lay the monitor on its side with the bottom of the monitor facing you.

  3. Rotate the base so that you can easily access the retaining latch on the bottom of the monitor. Pull up on the retaining latch to release it.

  4. While holding the latch up, slide the base toward the back of the monitor, and then remove the base.
